Only takes the right action!

The past couple weeks I had set a goal to write at least two new songs, and it has been such a struggle! Normally I can feel when I am inspired to write, I hear something, or think something, or an idea pops up and it just flows. My best songs have come to me almost instinctively, almost effortlessly, as if God just divinely downloaded a song into my head - lyrics, arrangements, vocal parts, style etc. These times I feel like its God, I feel like He's using me as an instrument or a medium to take a song from heaven and reach people on earth.

This time around there was no such feeling, No Ideas, absolutely no inspiration until my one action. I obeyed the voice of the Lord, and gushing in comes three songs as I woke up that morning. And while I won't tell you what I was obedient with, it definitely regards to something significant in my life. Something that I knew God was telling me to do but I lacked the courage to do it. It is said that the easiest way to obey is to obey promptly. The longer you delay the harder it becomes. And I obey I did....it is marvelous to know how God immediately rewards us for our obedience. And I thought to myself, how much more I could have received from Him had I obeyed all this time, and how much more I can receive if i would only choose to trust and obey.
